NYC PERFORMERS
The multi-talented STOMP performers often play different roles throughout the week. Read below to get to know about each of them and a character they portray!

JOHN ANGELES
John Angeles is from Fort Worth, TX, where he began his music training and went on to study percussion at TCU. He was a proud member of the 2001 DCI world champions, the Cavaliers. Throughout college and thereafter, John has performed with various percussion groups, bands, and has toured the world doing performances and clinics. John would like to thank his parents, his family and friends, Jake, Muggs1, LaSalle, Shakey, Curbee, Muggs2, Hunter, Atticus, Brillo and Maximus, for helping make his dreams come true, and dedicates his performances to them all.


ONE OF JOHN'S CHARACTERS: SARGE
Precise and determined, the leader of the group.

ALAN ASUNCION
This Filipino-American was born and raised on Long Island and has been teaching and performing professionally in various bands since the age of 14. He performed and toured with the Off-Broadway aerial show, De La Guarda (NYC, Korea, Israel). His plans to win the Powerball lottery were placed on hold when he joined Stomp in 2007, though he is still thrilled and amazed to be performing in his favorite long running Off-Broadway show! Special thanks goes to Mom and Dad, Tita Rita and especially the most incredible ladies of his life, Danielle, Mayah and Alana!


ONE OF ALAN'S CHARACTERS: MOZZIE
Ever-present and acrobatic. You can't get rid of him.

MARIVALDO DOS SANTOS
From Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Dos Santos has taken his eclectic talent all over the world, traveling throughout Europe, the U.S, Latin America and Asia. As a composer, musician, percussionist and producer, Dos Santos has contributed to some of the most recognizable artists, shows, music, festivals and movie productions of the past decade, such as the legendary Sting, The Fugges, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Pras, Joshua Bell, Steve Coleman, MD MC’S, Beetroot, Daniela Mercury, Vinicius Cantuaria, Margareth Menezes, Ogans and the Rock in Rio Madrid Festival. His own music projects like electronic recycle, Brazil Underground and Quables bring a vibrant mix of live and electronic new sounds and performances. Film and TV credits: the Emmy®-winning Brazilian soap opera India: A Love Story/Caminho das Indias, the movie Get Him to the Greek, the IMAX film Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey and Sesame Street. He is proud to be part of such an amazing production as Stomp.

DUSTIN ELSEA
Dustin is honored to be performing in one of the longest running shows in New York in one of his favorite theaters. Many thanks to Hugh, Polly, Mrs. Jamison, Mr. Panoff, Luke, Steve, and most importantly, Mom and Dad.


ONE OF DUSTIN'S CHARACTERS: DOCTOR WHO
Wild, crazy and likely to do unexpected things -- but only once you get to know him.

FRITZLYN HECTOR
Born in Brooklyn; raised in "Haitian Love!" Erasmus Hall graduate (dance major). As a youth, she was exposed to hip-hop, steppin', drama, music and dances from West and Central Africa taught by master dancer/drummers at the DeeperLite Youth Ensemble directed by Enoch and Ephraim (her mentors/dance fathers). Also joined Batoto Yetu directed by Julio Leitao and was one of the youngest principal dancers of the Forces of Nature Dance Theatre Co. Has traveled worldwide for a diverse range of directors/artists and has been performing for over 20 years. Much honor to God and my ancestors. Lots of respect and thanks to Lucy (mom) and big sis for inspiration. To Assane and Amantery: I'm your BIGGEST FAN!!

ONE OF FRITZLYN'S CHARACTERS: BIN BITCH
Tough, no nonsense, and wields hammer handles like drum sticks.


BRAD HOLLAND
Brad Holland has been inspired by the arts his entire life. He started playing drums in middle school and went on to become one of the top Alabama all-state percussionists in high school. Gershwin and Sondheim sparked his musical theatre interest and moved him to study acting at the University of Montevallo, near Birmingham, AL. After a chance audition for Stomp in 2002, Brad joined the cast. He is currently an aspiring producer, musician, actor and chef in NYC. After working with elephants in northern Thailand, he and his wife have started PeaceForElephants.com as an effort to raise awareness of animal cruelty around the world. Brad is extremely happy to be a member of the Stomp family and thanks Meghan, his parents, Pike brothers and friends for all their love and support.


ONE OF BRAD'S CHARACTERS: RINGO
Like his namesake, musical and laconic.

KRIS LEE
Kris Lee, an accomplished percussionist born and raised in Connecticut, graduated cum laude from The Hartt School of Music. Influenced by jazz, gospel, and hip hop, Kris’ passion is to connect with audiences through rhythm and sound. She facilitates percussion workshops that foster a positive, creative outlet for inner-city youth. Heartfelt thanks to Bob Burt, Andrew Luman, Stephanie Marshall, Chris Rubio, Pastor Joseph Bosco, her parents, and everyone for their unending love and support. Grateful to God above.

KEITH MIDDLETON
Brooklyn, NY's own "Wildchild" has been with Stomp since 1995. Film and TV credits: Pulse: a Stomp OdysseyJust My LuckThreat, Traveler, Stomp Out Loud on HBO, Third WatchMad About YouSesame Street, The Academy Awards, PGA, McDonald's, and Robots (as choreographer). Musical production credits: Defined Mind , various recording artists including his own rap group, HYDRA, Off-Broadway shows such as Liz Tuccillo's Joe Fearless and Pride and Soul.


ONE OF KEITH'S CHARACTERS: DOCTOR WHO

JASON MILLS
Jason Mills was born and raised in Loudoun County, Virginia, and moved to New York City in 1994 at the age of 22 to pursue a career in the arts. Initially working for clothing designer Nicole Miller as a graphic artist, he was hired in 1995 to perform in the original touring company of Stomp. Over the next four years work with the show included a 1996 Academy Awards performance, an appearance in the Stomp IMAX film Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey, and global touring. After a six-year hiatus from the show he is once again a part of the New York cast. Jason is a multi-instrumentalist, a producer, a composer, and a bandleader. He performs regularly with his six-piece soul band BEETROOT, whose debut album 13 was nominated for Album of the Year by the Independent Music Awards in 2005.

MANNY OSORIA
Manny is a classically trained drummer who later began to specialize in world percussion and hand drumming. He founded Momentum Live Entertainment in 2009, with whom he performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics, the US Open, and Beakerhead. His work at MomentumDrums.com includes advocating for arts & music education by producing workshops and fundraisers in marginalized urban communities.

IVAN SALAZAR
From San Diego, CA. Buoyed by his passion for movement and music his whole life, he joined Chris Rubio's percussion movement group and has performed throughout Southern California, from street corners to stadiums. Special thanks to Carlos Sigala, Chris Rubio, and Massapê for the inspiration and fundamentals. Bruno, Mum, Ne, Debe, and Nani and friends - He loves you guys!.

ONE OF IVAN'S CHARACTERS: PARTICLE MAN
A warrior with stamina and a sharp sense of detail.

PENELOPE WENDTLANDT
Penelope Wendtlandt grew up in Bavaria, Austin and NYC studying various forms of dance, music and theatre. She is thrilled to be joining her dream show. Endless thanks to her ever supportive, encouraging and inspiring family and friends, teachers and fellow dreamers.

Comedy is her middle name.
