NYC PERFORMERS
The multi-talented STOMP performers often play different roles throughout the week. Read below to get to know about each of them and a character they portray!

JESSE ARMERDING
Originally from the north shore of Massachusetts, Jesse grew up playing classical piano and drums. He explored the relationship between music and story through studies in theater at Wheaton College and then moved to Boston, expanding his musical knowledge of flamenco, Afro-Cuban and second line drumming with local teachers. Jesse discovered Tom Waits, New Orleans music and blues dancing while in Boston, which led him to get involved with street bands, circus bands and theater productions as a drummer, bandleader, actor and director. He is honored to be a member of the Stomp clan. Endless thanks to the fam, HONK! fest, the blues dancers, Workout and all his dear friends near and far. Your love, support and inspiration are everything!


ONE OF JESSE'S CHARACTERS: RINGO
Like his namesake, musical and laconic.

ALAN ASUNCION
Alan is a Filipino-American who was born and raised on Long Island and grew up the youngest of 5 children, being the only one bold enough to take the artistic career route. He taught piano and drums for many years and performed professionally in various bands since the age of 14. He performed and toured with the Off-Broadway aerial show, De La Guarda (NYC, Korea, Israel). Since 2007, he has been thrilled and thankful to be performing in his favorite long running Off-Broadway show! Passions/addictions include espresso, pastries, juicing, words with friends, trivia crack, reptiles and, of course, you! Special love to Danielle, Mayah and Alana!


ONE OF ALAN'S CHARACTERS: MOZZIE
Ever-present and acrobatic. You can't get rid of him.

MARIVALDO DOS SANTOS
From Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Dos Santos has taken his eclectic talent all over the world, traveling throughout Europe, the U.S, Latin America and Asia. As a composer, musician, percussionist and producer, Dos Santos has contributed to some of the most recognizable artists, shows, music, festivals and movie productions of the past decade, such as the legendary Sting, The Fugges, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Pras, Joshua Bell, Steve Coleman, MD MC’S, Beetroot, Daniela Mercury, Vinicius Cantuaria, Margareth Menezes, Ogans and the Rock in Rio Madrid Festival. His own music projects like electronic recycle, Brazil Underground and Quables bring a vibrant mix of live and electronic new sounds and performances. Film and TV credits: the Emmy®-winning Brazilian soap opera India: A Love Story/Caminho das Indias, the movie Get Him to the Greek, the IMAX film Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey and Sesame Street. He is proud to be part of such an amazing production as Stomp.

DUSTIN ELSEA
Dustin is honored to be performing in one of the longest running shows in New York in one of his favorite theaters. Many thanks to Hugh, Polly, Mrs. Jamison, Mr. Panoff, Luke, Steve, and most importantly, Mom and Dad.


ONE OF DUSTIN'S CHARACTERS: DOCTOR WHO
Wild, crazy and likely to do unexpected things -- but only once you get to know him.

ERIC FAY
Eric Fay is a native Southern Californian with New York roots. Eric’s percussion skills were refined through years of formal drum and marching-band training. Eric is a percussion instructor and has worked as a performer at world-renowned tourist destinations in California. After seeing STOMP, his dream was to be part of it. He joined a motivational percussion group headed by a former STOMPer, and hasn’t looked back since. Many thanks to Eric’s family, and to Chris Rubio, for helping him live his dream!

AARON MARCELLUS
Aaron Marcellus the singer, vocal coach, writer, musician, tap dancer, and actor from Atlanta. In 2011, he auditioned for American Idol. As "Top 24" he traveled with the “Idols World Tour” US Armed Forces to England, Italy, Holland, Germany, France, Korea, Kuwait and Japan. Aaron was featured in a Chapstick commercial, a pilot for NBC. He currently hosts a weekly musical at NYC’s Duane Park and can be found all over New York City directing showcases, tap dancing, acting, and serving as a vocal coach.

A warrior with stamina and a sharp sense of detail.


KRYSTAL RENÉE
A New York native and LaGuardia High School alumna, Krystal has worked intensively in the theater, dance, and music fields. She trained as a theater major at California Institute of the Arts, studied classical voice abroad at Florence University of the Arts, and graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Purchase. Among others, Krystal has worked under the coaching of Ben Harney, Michael Cassara, Charles Tuthill, Craig Derry, Ankh Ra, and various instructors at Broadway Dance Center and KMA Studios. Comedy is her middle name.

IVAN SALAZAR
From San Diego, CA. Buoyed by his passion for movement and music his whole life, he joined Chris Rubio's percussion movement group and has performed throughout Southern California, from street corners to stadiums. Special thanks to Carlos Sigala, Chris Rubio, and Massapê for the inspiration and fundamentals. Bruno, Mum, Ne, Debe, and Nani and friends - He loves you guys!.

INDIGO SMITH
Indigo Smith is a Multi-Percussionist from Los Angeles, California. Starting out in the Marching Percussion world, Indigo was a member of the 2012 WGI Championships percussion ensemble OCI. As Indigo began to specialize in World Music and Hand Percussion, she studied under various Afro-Cuban musicians such as Yagbe Onilu, as well as studying orchestral and pop percussion with Pete Korpela (Lion King). As a freelance percussionist, Indigo has performed with production outfits and recording artists such as Street Beat and Miki Howard. When not performing or studying, Indigo enjoys composing instrumentals and creating visual art pieces. Indigo is excited to share her passion for music and sound as a member of STOMP.

ONE OF INDIGO'S CHARACTERS: BIN BITCH
Tough, no nonsense, and wields hammer handles like drum sticks.

REGGIE TALLEY
Reggie Talley was born and raised in Houston, where he excelled in sports, and theatre at a very early age. In 2007 he won the Texas Forensics State Championship for Humorous Interpretation. He was involved in almost every sport in high school including track-cross country, wrestling, swimming, football and hula hooping...? Reggie is a self-taught dancer, self-taught percussionist and acrobat. After graduating high school at the age of 16, he then went off to Sam Houston State University to study acting. He toured with Main Street Theatre while being in school, and from there...the rest is history. He wants to thank his mom, dad, brothers and sister and the rest of the fam for their constant love and support. He would also like to give thanks to Mac and Buddy, and a special thanks to his brother Khan, who believed in him and showed him to reap the full benefits out of life, continues to be his guardian angel.

PENELOPE WENDTLANDT
Penelope Wendtlandt grew up in Bavaria, Austin and NYC studying various forms of dance, music and theatre. She is thrilled to be joining her dream show. Endless thanks to her ever supportive, encouraging and inspiring family and friends, teachers and fellow dreamers.
