STOMP rehearses in Washington, DC for "America's Millennium"

January 1, 2000 - STOMP performs in Washington, DC in front of the Lincoln Memorial for "America's Millennium". televised nationwide on CBS.

 

STOMP Media Appearances Increase


"STOMP recently completed filming a video with Sesame Street."   ( To be released at a later date.)

STOMP was invited by Quincy Jones and President Clinton to celebrate the new year by performing on CBS's nation-wide telecast of "America's Millennium".

While in Boston, STOMP was invited to perform as the Boston Celtics' half-time show.

In November 1998, STOMP appeared on the NBC sitcom, MAD ABOUT YOU, as the "Buchman's" new upstairs neighbors.

On October 4, STOMP performed on "Penn & Teller's Sin City Spectacular" on cable channel FX.

STOMP performed live on the 50th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on September 13.

The HBO Special "STOMP Out Loud" received Four Emmy nominations for a variety or music programs including:

  • Outstanding Direction for a Variety or Music Program
  • Outstanding Art Direction for a Variety or Music Program
  • Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety, Music Series or Special, and won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Multi-Camera Picture Editing for a Mini-Series, Movie or Special.

STOMP appeared live on "NBC Saturday Today" on September 5.

"E! Entertainment News Weekend" and "CBS This Morning," both, devoted segments on STOMP.

In July, Luke Cresswell received the Chicago Human Rhythm Project JUBA! Award for "Ground Breaking Achievement in Tap and Percussive Dance".

Also in July, STOMP performed on "The Howie Mandel Show" and "The Magic Hour with Magic Johnson"

In April, STOMP kicked off the annual "Cherry Blossom Parade" in Washington, DC.

STOMP performed on the TV special "Quincy Jones...the First 50 Years" which aired on April 11.

And it looks like a busy Fall ahead as the media frenzy surrounding STOMP heats up even more!
